Some of the character faces from the harpy story I am putting together. These will probably be altered later, but a good idea for now.

Vaschel and Alexander

linequalityvaschel

Two characters from an original story. The boy with the noose is Vaschel while the man is Alexander. A little blurb about the story:

Haunted by his past, Vaschel seeks refuge within his own mind. Occasionally seeing the reality of the destroyed palace and loneliness of his life, he continues to push it away for the memories of better times. Forcing himself to remember, he carries on from day to day as though nothing was wrong. Talking, dancing, and even entertaining the ghosts from his past as if they were his guests is how his days are usually spent. Interrupted by an unexpected visitor, Vaschel must relearn to interact with those who are real and come to terms with the reality of his situation. Making a friendship work has never been harder. With so much resemblance to the murderer of his clan, he fights hard to suppress the unwanted memories. However, the creeping thought in the back of his mind that keeps his families murderer alive has reason to be there. Will this new friend turn out to be a foe?

Vaschel must finally push away his fake world and stand strong against his fears. He must learn quickly how to defend himself and how to move on from the tragedies of his life. Will he be able to overcome his fears, or will he end up like the rest of his family?

Harpy Plushies

IMG00201IMG00203

Firstly, please excuse the quality of the photos. This was taken on my phone camera since it was the only one I had access to at the time.

Second. These plushies are of my character Alexander. He is a harpy male and generally wears clothes like you see on the plush. He's usually angry which explains the downward V for his mouth. Making these went quicker once I had my sewing machine! <3

Madam Derpette Collaboration

img001

This is a fabulous collaboration I did with Magpie from Flight of Magpie, Nick from Draw Self, as well as Trevor Verges, Ryan Ingram, and O'serimi Odu.

She is a fabulous brontosaurus with her boyfriend mosquito. She has amazing selection in clothes and the mosquito enjoys showing off his money and playing loud music. In order for him to stay afloat he must have balloons to counter the objects.

Messy Inks

inksmildmay4

This is an inking of Mildmay and Felix. Two characters from the series "Doctrine of the Labyrinths" Also known as "Melusiné". The intention is to have it completely colored, so that will be posted later. The series is by the Author Sarah Monette. It's about wizards and thieves...to an extent. It's like Jane Eyre meets Huckleberry Fin (In the authors words)! I didn't clean up these inks at all. I scanned it to check proportions and then went straight to coloring. Inking is painful .___. so so painful.

Legato

legato

This piece is of one of my characters. His name is the Title. This is the first line work I've done with photoshop. I like brush better, but it was an experience! I had a lot of band friends in high school when the character was created. So I experimented with musical terms as names.

The Morning Star

themorningstar

Penciling of two original characters. This scene was taken from a story created long ago and is still a frequent visitor to my memories. The name of their ship is "The Morning Star" and that is how I came across the title. The one standing on the ship looking out is the Captain and the one with the paper is his first mate.
